The reasons I love being a pastry chef:​

  1. There is always something new to learn, and I can only keep growing from here.

  2. Knowing I can amaze and delight my customers with my art, brightening their day with a sweet treat they deserve.

I’m Nicole from Nicole Living Sweets and the Pastry Chef at Sinfully The Best in Steveston, Richmond, BC.  

 

My journey into the amazing world of pastry began in 2006 after a home economics class sparked my passion with a cake decorating section. That class introduced me to this amazing art form I can’t imagine living without — hence, “Living Sweets”.

 

After completing two Baking and Pastry courses, I started my career in the hotel industry. After eight years, I began craving more creativity, particularly in cake decorating. I started taking cake and cupcake orders on the side, but eventually found myself exhausted balancing both roles. A former Pastry Chef introduced me to Sinfully The Best, where my career took a new direction when a customer asked if we accepted cake orders.

 

With the owner’s permission, I happily took that order.  From then on, my passion for learning new decorating techniques and skills exploded, and I strive to outdo myself with each new creation!​
